How Wind Energy Reduces Carbon Emissions

The existence of fossil fuel can be traced back centuries ago, but the usage of windmills has long been a means for every necessity during old age. In China, wind energy was mainly used for pumping waters to irrigation system and for livestock. Persia uses it as a means of transportation crossing the Nile River and for grinding grains. The Dutch are known as pioneers of wind energy; Amsterdam, for instance, is one of the most recognizable places because of its windmills in the country side. Wind turbines on its appearance were made of primitive technology and wooden materials. But, with the aid of highly advance technology, wind turbine now comes with different innovation including designs and functions.

Among the countries, Spain, United States, Germany, Denmark, and India, wind power are of their Government’s becoming main thrust in lieu of conventional energy shortage and for the environmental campaign. The multi blade wind turbine was a pioneer in harnessing electricity out of wind energy. Research and study shows that by the year 2020, the global production of wind energy will go around 20 thousand megawatt of energy. Green energy or popularly known as renewable energy has given a recognition for its huge contribution to the environmental conservation.

Our wind power cost around 2 to 3 cents per kilowatt unlike with conventional energy which is 4 to 6 cents per kilowatt. And another great thing about wind power is that, it produces an entire clean energy, compared to conventional that produces carbon dioxides which is the main cause of our global state such as climate change and global warming. By using renewable energy as an alternative to our far reaching fossil fuels, we are making the biggest contribution to our mother earth and eventually reduce our electricity bill.
