The heart-wrenching destruction created by Hurricane Darian is difficult to watch. We know Darian is real, and we see that the destruction is real, How can we fully comprehend the angry venom spewing from Darian’s core when it didn’t intrude into our life?
My coaching/mentoring business is self-development. We manifest with words and emotion; and attract what we think and feel. Positive attracts positive. Negative attracts negative. But life isn’t this simple; is it?
My Grandpa taught me about living life with nature, and the law of the 33 & 1/3 % rule. The 33 & 1/3 percent rule is; “we can control 33 &1/3 percent of what happens. We cannot control 33 &1/3rd percent of what happens. The remaining 33 &1/3 percent we don’t care what happens.”
This rule is part of life and there is nothing we can do to change it, because we didn’t create it. A higher power created the laws of the universe. We just learn how to live with them.
Karma is real. The Law of Attraction is real. The Bible tells us in Matthew 21:22 “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” This too is real.
But believing we can live life by only seeing is good is not reality. The negative that enters our life is very real.
We are on this earth to gain wisdom. We learn wisdom through success and failure. The positive and negative that enters into our life’s journey is our teacher.
When a hurricane makes up its mind that it’s headed our way, there is nothing we can do to stop it. We have two choices; meet the hurricane head-on or we evacuate.
If we stay we see and feel the devastation. We can evacuate but we must return to the aftermath. And the aftermath Darian left in the Bahamas’s is truly heart-breaking.
People like hurricanes come and go in our lives. Most people are warm and friendly bringing us positive energy. Others are angry and bring toxic negative energy. It’s our choice about how we manage our connection with angry people just as we choose how to manage our connection with angry weather.
The Phantoms of negativity want to control us. The Law of Gratitude sets us free. There are only two energies available to us; positive or negative. We can’t see these energies, but we can see the consequences of how we choose to manage them.
So how do we keep positive? We practice gratefulness. Science has proven that the more grateful we speak and feel, the more wisdom we gain to live happier lives.
The quickest way to bring positive things into our lives is by living in a daily gratitude awareness while being consciously aware of the negativity life brings. The sunshine and the storms are part of life; but so are the rainbows.
