Tropical storm Josephine path projected: Where is Storm Josephine now? | Weather | News

Even if the centre of the storm were to stay over open water, the system could pass close enough to bring heavy downpours and strong winds to parts of the islands.

The storm is believed to be travelling west-northward at a speed of 15mph and is expected to turn toward the northwest late this weekend or early next week.

Weather models on the evening of Wednesday, August 12, showed the storm’s path was not nearing the Carolina states, USA, as predicted.

It was, instead, seen to be moving out further out near the Bahamas, according to meteorologist Bill Martin from the National Weather Service.
