Lower Merion Hosting Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents of Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough have a chance to safely dispose of household hazardous waste in late October.

On Sunday, Oct. 25, residents can drop off hazardous household waste at the Lower Merion Transfer Station, 1300 N. Woodbine Ave., Penn Valley.

A full list of accepted items and unaccepted items is below.

However, those looking to use the service must register in advance.

When registering, choose an appointment time slot to ensure you can drop off items.

You can show up anytime within the appointment window. Anyone who cannot make it to the event after registering should cancel their appointment as others may be waiting to register for a time slot.

If possible, those who register are asked to print out their registration form and place it on the vehicle’s dashboard.

Those using the service must keep their materials must be in the trunk of the car or bed of the truck, and must remain in their vehicle while wearing a mask. Anyone who needs to keep gas cans or other containers should tape a note to the container stating that you want to keep it.
