How to reduce pollution – The Dispatch

We all know that the environment is tolerating human actions in a negative way.  With our current economic system we are creating a negative environmental impact that harms many kinds of survival amongst ourselves.  When we talk about pollution, we are talking about identifying substances or other physical elements in the environment that make it unsafe and inefficient to use.  This medium can be a physical medium or a living being.  We must learn how to reduce pollution because it is in our hands to create a healthier environment for the planet.

So, in this article we are going to tell you how to reduce pollution and what are its sustainable habits.

  3. Some tips on how to reduce pollution

We have mentioned that the introduction of pollutants and physical elements into a medium can be an ecosystem, a living or physical medium.  The material we are bringing into the medium can be a chemical, heat, light, sound or radioactive.  So there are many types of pollution.  Before we learn how to reduce pollution, we need to know what types are present.  Let’s look at the characteristics and types of existing contaminants:

  • Air Pollution: This involves the release of substances into the atmosphere of the boiler, the composition of which makes it harmful to humans, animals and plants.  Some of the substances we release into the environment and are more polluted are carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

  • Water pollution: This is a type of pollution that occurs when pollutants are released into the water flowing through rivers.  They can also end up in the ocean or groundwater.  An example of water pollution is plastics that end up in the ocean or spill oil into the oceans.

  • Land Pollution: This type of pollution occurs when we emit chemicals that are able to pass underground or underground.  This is usually done with oils and heavy metals.  Other chemicals that pollute the earth are herbicides used in agriculture, pesticides and insecticides.  With the increasing demand for food worldwide, intensive agriculture has increased the amount of chemicals used to improve production.  All these chemicals pollute the earth.

  • Thermal pollution: This occurs when the water temperature rises and has a negative effect on the organisms living in it.  For example, nuclear plants discharge hot water from plants.

  • Noise Pollution: This is what happens in big cities where motorized media dominates.  Noise from airplanes, ambulances, cars, helicopters and large crowds causes noise pollution.

 How to reduce pollution

We have a lot of guidelines and tips today that can lead us to adopt long lasting habits.  These habits can help our generation and those who are able to manage the environment in good condition and manage natural resources.  What’s more, health is achieved and raw materials are saved, so we must learn ways to reduce pollution.

Let’s think about it.  We know it’s going to be all sorts of filth we’ve seen in our hands.  We need to change our daily habits a little bit.  Fundamental changes are not requested which do not allow us to follow them in our daily life for a long time.  It’s something we have long been accustomed to and we need to change.

The first step in learning how to reduce pollution is to use public transport.  In the big cities we have got into the habit of using the car for anything.  However, using public transport is a solution because it is cheaper and less polluting than cars.  Although many people can sit on the bus, in private vehicles we can create traffic jams which create a more polluted environment.  It’s time to dump her and move on.  Using resources means they are environmentally friendly.

In terms of consumption, we should focus on purchasing local products.  In this way, we achieve that the transport of products is reduced and less greenhouse gases are emitted into the atmosphere.  One of the things that pollutes the environment the most is vehicles.  We buy local products, we avoid that what we buy in the supermarket is taken from far away places.  This leads to waste of fuel and pollution of the environment.

Eat organic products whenever you can.  For the production of these products, natural resources are used and the use of chemicals that are harmful to the environment is excluded.  We can find environmental products not only in food, but also in hygiene, fashion and cosmetics.

Here are some tips to help you reduce pollution

We’re going to talk to you about some tips and habits that are more convenient and easy to work with.  Of course you started recycling because more and more Spaniards do it.  We know where to dispose of cans or glass, but in some cases inside we do not know where to dispose of the remaining waste.  It is important to separate such waste before putting it in the bins.  That way, we can save on raw materials and pollution.

Consumption of plastics is a global problem.  Reducing this consumption is a key to learning how to reduce pollution.  Most plastic bags that we use and that we use for only 10 minutes take more than 400 years to deteriorate.

Water and electricity consumption is the order of the day.  We know that water is a resource that can be depleted and the basic thing is to take care of its use.  Turn off the tap or when we brush our teeth, shower instead of bathing and reuse water to water the plants. This is one way to reduce water consumption.

Lastly, use renewable energy whenever you can because they are not polluted during generation or use.
