Tribune News Service Dipender Manta Mandi, August 6 The Chandigarh-Manali highway has been restored to traffic between Mandi and Kullu after it was blocked due to a massive landslide at 7 Mile, a few km ahead of Mandi town towards Kullu. The alternative route between Mandi and Kullu-via-Kataula was also blocked due to landslide at Tihri. According to police, the traffic movement had completely come to a standstill due to the landslide. They criticised the police for not making adequate arrangements to deal with the situation arising out of the landslide. No policeman was there to divert and manage traffic. PTI Shimla, July 19 Eight people were injured in a landslide in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on Tuesday morning, the state disaster management authority said. According to the Kangra district emergency operations centre, the landslide occurred at a construction site near a flour mill around 9am, state disaster management director Sudesh Mokhta said.
