David Wiberg, head of hydroinformatics on the Worldwide Water Administration Institute (IWMI) says that large knowledge is a matter of “pulling collectively knowledge from every kind of disparate sources and making it give you the results you want in the suitable manner.” Headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, IWMI’s suite of knowledge services and products contains mapping irrigated areas, recording drought and flood-risk patterns, plus rainwater harvesting calculations and extra.

Whereas the digitization of water measurement methods can be utilized in lots of administration points, the particular focus is on two functions: flood prediction and pipe breakage prediction.
