A big sinkhole opened up on a busy highway of Nantong metropolis, east China’s Jiangsu province on Saturday, June 10, 2017, after heavy rains hit the area.

The outlet instantly swallowed a minivan and continued to develop, engulfing components of pavement and a close-by tree. Video of the occasion reveals an underground pipe burst after the opening opened.

There have been no studies of accidents.

The reason for the sinkhole remains to be below investigation.
