KUWAIT, Nov 14 (KUNA) — Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) launched on Monday a campaign to spread awareness on environmental challenges under the slogan (You can.. our environment, our responsibility).
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of KRCS Anwar Al-Hasawi said in the inauguration of the campaign that the environmental issue has political, economical and social dimensions, and is a result of human interference in its natural balance.
“These campaigns are very important for all community members to be aware of this issue and to motivate citizens to contribute in helping the environmental societies,” he said.
“KRCS had launched several events, campaigns and seminars to spread as much awareness as possible, locally and internationally, with the aim to achieve green economy,” he added.
Al-Hasawi called governmental and private authorities to participate in the campaign to support our efforts in making Kuwait’s environment clean and hygienic. (end)
