
AALO, Mar 02: West Siang DC Penga Tato Thursday inaugurated the three-day eco-tourism training camp at the bank of Siyom river, near Bene Village, here.
The camp is being conducted by the district tourism department under the overall guidance of District Tourism Oficer (DTO) T K Kopak.
The DC during his address advised the students to take advantage of the training and be partners of development.
“Tourism is the biggest industry of the world and many countries are depended on it,” he said and appealed to the students and people develop a sense of hospitality for the tourists.
He also advised the youths to take up home stay, eco-tourism resort and other tourism related activities for sustainable development.
During the camp training on rope noting, river crossing, rock climbing and repelling, angling, para gliding, rafting would be imparted.
On the first day training on rock climbing and angling was imparted to the trainees.
The students from Govt HS School Aalo has been selected, who opted tourism as their subjects.
